The practical part, kept honest.
Hours, closures, the waitlist, what the first weeks look like, tuition, policies, and the forms you need to get your kid enrolled. Questions about anything here? Call 541-870-9868 and we will walk you through it.

Holiday closures
Little VIP is closed on these holidays every year. When a holiday lands on a weekend, we close on either the Friday before or the Monday after, and we announce which one ahead of time. We may take extra days depending on how the calendar falls. Reminders go up on Facebook and on the front door at each location.

OpeningsThe waitlist
How the waitlist works.
Spots open when a kid graduates or a family moves, and it happens more often than you would think. The fastest answer on openings is a phone call. If your location is full, here is what happens next.
-
Call or tour first
Tell us your child's age, the schedule you need, and which location you prefer. If there is a spot, great. You get to skip the rest of this list.
-
Fill out the Waiting List form
Download it below. It asks for your child's birth date, the schedule and start date you want, and how to reach you.
-
Hold your place with a deposit
A $300 non-refundable deposit holds the space. Deposits are by Venmo or money order only. When your child enrolls, the deposit is applied toward your supplies fee billing.
-
We call when a spot opens
When a spot opens that fits your child's age and schedule, you get a call. Say yes and we start the enrollment forms together.
Settling inThe first weeks
What to expect after the first drop-off.
Three questions every new parent asks in week one: how is my kid adjusting, how did the day go, and what are your hours. Hours are above. Here are the other two, plus a few things we tell every new family.
You will hear from us all day
Teachers text parents throughout the day about your child's experiences, needs, and progress. Ate a good lunch, napped, made a friend, had a hard moment and got through it. You will know before pickup, not after.
A partnership, not a handoff
Expect open communication and teachers who work with you on your child's growth, development, and individual needs. If something is not working, we will tell you and ask what you are seeing at home.
Easing in is allowed
If your child has never been in preschool or group care before, we may suggest starting part-time. A few shorter days build comfort and confidence, and then we add more. Nobody wins a prize for the fastest first week.
An honest note about sniffles
Group care usually means more exposure to common childhood illnesses, especially in the first months. It is normal, it passes, and it is part of adjusting to a room full of new friends. We wash hands like it is a sport, and we keep you posted.
CostTuition
Rates that fit your child's needs.
Tuition is a real consideration for most families, and we would rather you know the numbers early than be surprised later. Rates change yearly and depend on your child's program and needs. For current rates, call 541-870-9868, email littlevip16@gmail.com, or ask during your tour. The Fees Agreement form below covers payment details for enrolled families.
PaperworkForms
Download, sign, and bring them in.
All forms must be completely filled out before a child enters care. They are built to be simple and quick.
House rulesPolicies
How we keep every kid safe and happy.
Open door for parents
Parents are always welcome. You have access to every area your child uses, any time your child is in our care.
Authorized pick-up only
Only people authorized by the primary parent may pick a child up from care. No exceptions.
Positive discipline
Corporal punishment or any act that inflicts physical pain is strictly prohibited. We teach respect for people and property, and physical restraint is used only in a true emergency.
Emergencies and drills
Practice drills run at least once a month. In a medical emergency we call 911 first and you immediately after. Please keep your contact info current.
Homemade healthy meals
Meals are homemade, healthy, balanced, and prepared fresh. Children are encouraged, never forced, to eat a variety of foods.
Rest time
Most children nap around noon. Infants and toddlers rest as their own schedules need.
Handwashing and sanitation
Hands get washed before and after meals, after bathroom trips, nose wipes, pet time, and contact with any child feeling under the weather. Bedding is laundered weekly and as needed.
Arrivals
Please bring your child neatly groomed, in fresh, comfortable clothes, with a clean diaper for the littlest ones.
Bathroom privacy
Each child gets private bathroom time. Dignity matters at every age.
Mandatory reporting
As required by Oregon law, suspected child abuse is reported to the proper authorities.
